Education has changed year to year. Teachers teach differently, students learn differently, so the methodologies are also different that previous years. Our society has developed. Nowadays, there is a discussion about this change.
On the one hand, some people defend traditional methodologies because they studied with these methods and they think they have had a good education, and wonder why we should change this. They're close minded and don't want to see more than their methods.
On the other hand, other people who are studying modern methodologies or who have learned with them defend them.
All in all, in my opinion I don't think that one is better than the other one. I think that the only thing that affects the methods is the way we use them and the person who uses them.
In conclusion, I believe that the key is being a good teacher. If you are a good teacher, you will teach well with whatever method you use.

Dear Mónica,
How are you? It's been a long time since I wrote to you.
This year I've started my first year at university. I'm studying to be a teacher of little children.
University is such a different place from high school. Do you remember last year in second of “bachillerato”?
Here the organization of the subjects and the exams are really different. It seems more difficult but if you like it and study everyday, it will be an easy year. You only have to organise yourself.
Apart from the organization, I'm going to talk you about the relationship with classmate. They have been friendly from the first day. I get on very well with a group of them, and we usually go out at weekends.
How about you? Have you decided to study or are you still thinking of working?
Hope you write soon.
Love.
Andrea.
